Speaker & Workshop Series

To help fulfill our mission of cooperative education, in the past, Simple Living Institute, Inc. has held a monthly "Econ Farm Workshop" at the Econ Farm on various farming, gardening, and wellness topics. For 2006, we plan to expand the Workshop series to include more topics, locations, and to incorporate community speakers as well.

The intent of the new "Workshop and Speaker Series" program is to not only educate attendees, but to also provide a friendly forum for discussion. While community members may not always agree on a particular subject, we at Simple Living Institute, Inc. believe that this type of discussion will promote effective communication, and ultimately, a greater sense of community.

Please note: in compliance with our non-profit status, Simple Living Institute, Inc. cannot promote any activist or political activity. While we encourage our members to share and discuss their personal views with each other, as an entity, we adhere to a strict policy of neutrality, or non-position.

Sat 09.15.2007 @Lake Eola Pagoda	2pm-4pm	Green Living Forum	This workshop complements our sustainability showcase at the library. Several simple livers will be presenting information on green living topics, followed by an open forum discussion on how to live green. Come and learn what natural cleaners to use, how to reduce energy usage at home, and other earth friendly techniques to start implementing in your life right away.
