ProgramsCore ProgramsOrganic Growers Collective Explore! Each month, we host an open meeting for organic growers and consumers to mix, mingle, share, and learn - together! This new program meets the third Wednesday each month at Leu Gardens. Econ Farm Workshops Explore! Please note: Effective July 2007, Econ Farm Workshops are on hiatus while we reconfigure our land lease. Each month, we hold a hands-on, back-to-basics organic farming workshop out on the Econ Farm. Besides the cyclical maintenance of planting and harvesting the garden plots, special topics such as rainwater catchment, composting, container gardening, natural pest control, native plant workshops and companion planting. Workshop and Speaker Series Explore! Occasional workshops/speakers not only educate Simple Livers about important topics, but provide a friendly forum for discussion amongst attendees. Kids' Gardening Program Garden Start-Up Program Explore! Simple Living Institute, Inc. is pleased to offer a Garden Start-Up as one of our core programs focused on education and sustainability. Annual EventsBiannual Harvest Earth Day Celebration Annual Benefit Concert Explore! Each year, Simple Living Institute Inc. organizes the Annual Benefit Concert to act as our major fundraising event of the year. Live music, art, and community are the focus. |
