Mark MulliganMark Mulligan has been a member of Simple Living Institute, Inc. since August 2003 and has served the organization as board member, Vice President, and program director of the Spherical Wonderland and Summer Sphere programs. Mark has lived in Florida for most of his life and has a deep love and appreciation for the natural wonderland that our great state has to offer. He grew up in South Florida and experienced first hand how population growth and unplanned urban expansion have changed and seriously threatened our natural resources. He attended the University of Florida where he swam for the swim team and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Geology. He currently is a Florida registered professional geologist and works as an environmental consultant at Nodarse & Associates, Inc. Mark's main interest as an active member in Simple Living is raising environmental and community consciousness with the people who share our lives each day in the community we all live in. The community outreach that the Simple Living Institute, Inc. provides to the Central Florida area through organic gardening, music events, poetry readings and educational seminars is a constant inspiration to him and a source of growing knowledge. Not to mention that being a member of Simple Living is a great way to meet people who care about improving their quality of life in positive ways. Mark has two fantastic kids, his son, Shane, and daughter, Summer. They constantly inspire and amaze him and can often be seen at Simple Living functions. Mark has lots of interests and hobbies, most of which revolve around nature and his family. When not watching his kids play soccer, he is an avid kayaker, canoer, and camper, hitting the local rivers, springs and waterways as often as possible.
