Led by Kelly, Aaron, and Laina, the Karma Kids prepared to prep the garden plot and turn the soil for a fresh planting.

First we removed all the weeds and undesirables.

We moved some tall and stalky unidentified flowers to the northeastern corner so they wouldn't steal sunshine from our seeds.

The next step was turning the soil. We took especial care next to a baby fig plant which we of course left.

Week Two: The following week, Simple Livers Kelly, Aaron, and Laina returned to plant seeds in the freshly turned bed. We started by planting a banana tree.
